Jalen Ramsey

Jalen Lattrell Ramsey was born October 24, 1994, in Smyrna, Tennessee, just outside Nashville. He was raised in a supportive family and his upbringing in middle Tennessee emphasized both athletic development and strong academics. His father Lamont has been central to his career, and the family's Nashville roots have remained important to him throughout his NFL career.

Ramsey attended Brentwood Academy in Tennessee, where he was a top national recruit as both a football player and track athlete. He signed with Florida State and spent three seasons in Tallahassee as one of the most productive defensive backs in the ACC, earning All-American honors and helping the Seminoles to the 2013 BCS National Championship Game.

The Jacksonville Jaguars selected Ramsey fifth overall in the 2016 NFL Draft, and he immediately established himself as one of the most confident and productive cornerbacks in the league. His mid-season 2019 trade to the Los Angeles Rams brought him to a championship-caliber defense, and he contributed significantly to their Super Bowl LVI title run following the 2021 season.
