William Trevor Lawrence was born October 6, 1999, in Knoxville, Tennessee, and moved with his family to Cartersville, Georgia, at a young age. His father Jeremy and mother Amanda raised Trevor alongside his two siblings, and football was central to the household from the start — Jeremy had been a college football player himself. Lawrence's trademark long blonde hair and laid-back demeanor became part of his identity as early as middle school.

Lawrence attended Cartersville High School in Georgia, where he authored one of the most dominant high school careers in modern history, setting multiple state records and finishing as the consensus No. 1 overall recruit in the country.
