Caleb Lonnie Williams was born November 18, 2001, in Washington, D.C., and grew up in nearby Maryland in a family that emphasized education, entrepreneurship, and athletic excellence. His father Carl was a prominent figure in Caleb's recruiting and early career decisions, famously telling USA Today during his son's college career that he wanted the NFL team drafting Caleb to treat the selection like a 'big-business decision.'
