Biography
Marcus Mariota won the Heisman Trophy at Oregon in 2014 behind a dynamic dual-threat skill set, then became the second overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft — one spot behind Jameis Winston. He spent five seasons as the Tennessee Titans' starter, delivering a memorable playoff comeback win over Kansas City in 2018.
After backing up Derek Carr in Las Vegas and starting a season in Atlanta, Mariota has since transitioned into a valuable veteran role, most recently with Philadelphia and now with Washington. His athleticism and read-option familiarity continue to make him a useful change-of-pace option alongside younger starters.
