Bijan Robinson

Bijan Sione Robinson was born January 30, 2002, in Tucson, Arizona, and grew up in a family of Polynesian and Black American heritage that prioritized athletics and education. His father Vincent and mother Renee helped raise Bijan alongside his brother Isaiah, and his upbringing in Southern Arizona — a region with less football recruiting infrastructure than California or Texas — meant he had to be exceptional just to be noticed.

Robinson attended Salpointe Catholic High School in Tucson, where he became a four-star recruit and one of the nation's top running back prospects by his senior year. He signed with Texas over significant Pac-12 interest, choosing to reestablish the Longhorns' running back pipeline during a rebuilding era for the program. His three seasons at Texas produced more than 3,400 rushing yards and established him as the consensus top running back prospect in the country.

Robinson won the Doak Walker Award — the nation's top running back honor — as a junior in 2022, and he was the eighth overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons. He became the highest-drafted running back in several years, continuing the position's gradual return to first-round investment after years of devaluation.

Robinson's arrival in Atlanta has delivered on the promise of his draft status. He has posted multiple 1,000-yard rushing seasons, earned Pro Bowl honors, and established himself as one of the most complete running backs in the NFL.
