Breece Hall

Breece Hall was born May 31, 2001, in Wichita, Kansas, though he later relocated with his mother and stepfather to Stillwater, Oklahoma, for high school. His biological father had limited involvement in his upbringing, and his mother Tiffany took the lead in raising him. Hall has described his childhood as defined by the presence of strong female figures — mother, aunts, and grandmother — who shaped his disciplined approach to football and life.

Hall attended Stillwater High School in Oklahoma, where he became the state's Gatorade Football Player of the Year and a coveted recruit. He signed with Iowa State over offers from regional powerhouses, a decision that proved transformative for both Hall and the Cyclones program. In Ames he became one of the most productive running backs in Big 12 history, winning the Doak Walker Award in 2020 and leading the nation in rushing touchdowns.

The New York Jets selected Hall in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft, and he flashed elite ability immediately before a torn ACL cut his rookie season short. His return in 2023 and his development since have made him one of the premier young backs in the AFC, with a unique combination of breakaway speed and receiving ability that has made him the offensive centerpiece of a Jets rebuild.
