Davante Adams

Davante Lavell Adams was born December 24, 1992, in Redwood City, California, and grew up in the East Palo Alto area. He was raised primarily by his mother Pamela, and his childhood in the Bay Area shaped both his football development and his long-standing relationships — his close friendship with future Las Vegas Raiders teammate Derek Carr dates back to their days as Fresno State teammates and has influenced multiple career decisions.

Adams attended Palo Alto High School, where he was a lightly recruited wide receiver prospect despite clear athletic ability. He signed with Fresno State and spent three seasons there, forming a record-setting passing duo with Derek Carr. His 2013 season produced 131 catches for 1,719 yards and 24 touchdowns, setting multiple school and conference records and catapulting him into second-round NFL Draft consideration.

The Green Bay Packers selected Adams 53rd overall in the 2014 NFL Draft, where he began a career-defining partnership with Aaron Rodgers. After modest production in his first two seasons, Adams developed into one of the most refined route runners in NFL history — a player whose footwork, release package, and stem work at the top of routes drew comparisons to the greatest wide receivers of any era.
