Nico Collins

Nico Collins was born September 11, 1999, in Birmingham, Alabama, where he grew up in a family with deep Southern football roots. His upbringing in the heart of SEC country placed him in one of the most football-obsessed regions of the country, and his development as a big-bodied wide receiver was shaped by the Alabama high school football culture.

Collins attended Clay-Chalkville High School in Alabama, where he was a four-star recruit and one of the top wide receivers in the state. He signed with Michigan over SEC interest and spent three seasons with the Wolverines, showing flashes of production before opting out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19-related concerns.
