Christian Watson

Christian Watson was born May 1, 1999, in Tampa, Florida, into a family with football roots. His father Tim Watson played briefly in the NFL as a safety, and his mother has been central to his development. The Watson family's Florida roots shaped his football identity even as his college career took him far from home.

Watson attended Plant High School in Tampa, where he was a three-star recruit and was under-recruited at the FBS level. He signed with North Dakota State — one of the most successful FCS programs in college football history — and spent four seasons with the Bison, winning multiple national championships while developing into one of the top FCS receivers in the country.

The Green Bay Packers selected Watson 34th overall in the 2022 NFL Draft, the first pick of the second round. He immediately provided deep-threat production for the Packers, with his 4.36 speed and 6'4" frame making him a unique physical matchup. His rookie season included multiple highlight-reel touchdowns and established him as a foundational piece of the Packers' post-Aaron Rodgers offensive rebuild.
